I am an audio-visual archivist, filmmaker, and curator born and raised in Miami, Florida. Currently, I work as the Digital Services Librarian at Florida State University. At FSU, I work at the intersection our Web Development, Digital Infrastructure, and Special Collections & Archives teams supporting the University’s digital preservation initiatives. I also serve as the subject liaison to the College of Motion Picture Arts supporting student research and working with faculty in developing the library’s collections related to film & media studies.
I make films & videos, sometimes performing live expanded cinema under the moniker Clavilux. You can watch some of these on my Vimeo page. I have screened and/or performed work in North America and Europe including the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Antimatter [Media Art], Cosmic Rays Film Festival, Mono No Aware X, The International Noise Conference, Performing Media Festival, Le 102, and created a custom film & video installation for Bunkminster Fuller ‘s “Fly’s Eye” dome in Miami, FL.
In 2015 I co-founded Miami Music Club, an artist collective and nomadic space dedicated to experimental music and performance. MMC has been given a residency at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami and was awarded the 2016 Knight Arts Challenge grant.
